CCMP–ALP Integration Project

Strengthening livelihoods through faith, mindset change & agriculture

A focused integration within Agriculture Livelihood Practices, using CCMP principles to strengthen community mobilization, mindset renewal, food security, and household resilience.

Project Overview

ALP strengthened through community transformation principles

The CCMP–ALP Integration Project is a community-centered initiative that strengthens Agriculture Livelihood Practices by integrating selected Church and Community Mobilization Process approaches.

While CCMP will stand as its own broader programme, this page focuses on how its principles support ALP communities to renew mindsets, mobilize local resources, and improve livelihoods through sustainable and climate-smart agriculture.

The project equips church leaders, ALP group leaders, facilitators, and community members to respond to local challenges, improve food security, and build long-term household resilience.

Why Integration Matters

Connecting mindset change with practical livelihood action

This integration helps ALP communities move beyond training alone by combining spiritual reflection, community participation, and practical agriculture activities.

Mindset renewal and local ownership

CCMP principles help participants reflect on where they are, where they have come from, and where they are going, while encouraging stewardship, responsibility, and self-reliance.

Progress and Achievements

Early results show growth in leadership, mindset, and practice

The integration is helping ALP communities connect mindset renewal with practical agricultural development.

Capacity Building

Church leaders and facilitators are increasingly engaged in community transformation activities using participatory approaches.

Mindset Change

Participants are showing improved attitudes toward stewardship, self-reliance, and collective responsibility.

Adoption of Practices

Farmers are applying improved agricultural practices demonstrated through practical learning sites such as the JLH Garden.

Community Engagement

Participation has strengthened through group learning, discussions, practical activities, and local church mobilization.

Community Impact

Mindset change is driving action

Participants are no longer waiting for external support. They are beginning to use locally available resources to improve their lives.

This is visible in individuals such as Pr. Oringa Remijo, who has taken initiative in farming and long-term investment, and Mr. Kilama Erick, who has stepped into spiritual leadership.

The role of local churches remains critical in mobilizing and sustaining community engagement. Peer-to-peer learning is also growing as transformed individuals influence others in both faith and livelihoods.

Future Focus

Sustaining and scaling the impact

Continued support, consistent follow-up, and strategic resource mobilization are essential to sustain and scale this integration across more communities.

The project will continue strengthening facilitators, encouraging local ownership, and supporting communities to apply improved agricultural practices that contribute to food security and resilience.

As CCMP grows into its own wider programme, this integration remains a focused bridge between spiritual transformation, mindset change, and practical livelihood improvement within ALP communities.

Sustainable transformation works best when faith and livelihoods move together

The CCMP–ALP Integration Project demonstrates that spiritual growth, mindset renewal, practical agricultural activities, and local leadership can work together to build stronger, more resilient communities.
